I've seen you progress since you've been with us so, this might be a little hars, but here's a little piece of advice.

If a shot is 'not one of your best' then don't post it. Period. A lot of forum members go out of their way to get their absolute best efforts. I don't think it's very motivating to post 'not one of your best' screenshots.

So next time ... think about this. I know you can do it because, as I said you've progressed a lot over the past couple of months ;)

Good luck!

Scenery could be a little more interesting at a slighty different angle, otherwise it isnt too bad.

Normally I'd agree with you Harold - but I've changed my mind..... I only ever post shots which are the best I can do but listen to this:

1 year ago I made a series of four posts. I took over 300 screenshots over 10 hours or so and selected the best 25 for posting in the payware section at Simv.

Now my computer's broken I'm editing my back catalogue. I took the best 10 of those posted shots and edited them for posting on another forum. This took about 3 hours.

For Simv I took the best seven edits (so 7 from an original 300, and the culmination of 13 hours work) and posted them in the edited forum under the name "3 Russians"

84 people have looked at them.

2 people have posted a reply.

This 'nothing much' now has 4 replies. So I disagree with you - why make an effort? People don't value effort, they value something which 'speaks to them'.... they don't like it, they don't comment.

Only make an effort if you enjoy making an effort and producing your best and don't care what people think. You want comments? Just post anything, invest little effort... and you will either be surprised, or at least not disappointed.

For an egotist like me it's hard to grasp this idea, but I'm getting there.... ;D

My semester finishes in two weeks, and I've just bought a new comp... will be back posting shots and comments in earnest soon - looking forward to it...
