I think It's a classic expample of Rushed Development.

Pressed into service to be first, when if a bit more time was taken Russia would have had a world Class SST.

where can i find the Tu-144?

No-VC models: tu1440vc.zip
Every one of these should go in a separate folder (or you'll lose afterburners on the LL and S variants)
tu144ll.zip (=LL)
tu144d.zip (=D, no burners on that one!)
tu144cl.zip (=S)
