Postby Lt. Air Force » Fri Apr 13, 2007 6:00 pm

Hey,
ok this is probably the noobiest question of all time, but How do i get a screenshot from FS9? Hit Printsceen but dont know where to go now. I know its in some folders for FSX, is it the same in 9? Or after i take the shot, do i have to minimize and paste? I'm not sure.

Once you In wheather FSX or FS9 find a good angle (maybe a parking aircraft fron the exterior ) ,Hit Impr/Pant..pet Sis(Print screen) Minimize the game by hit Alt then Tab or hit the windows key the open Paint ,..you know microsoft Paint in the start menu, once it open Hit Ctrl+V or Paste the image its in the memory ,save it as Bmp or JPG there a common freeware software to resize or you can paste the image to there its Infanview

Download it here

Irfanview also has a great (programable) screen capture feature. :)

Hi Lt Air Force,

After hitting Print Screen, paste the image into Irfanview (highly recommended by many, see Alrot's link). Then, resize the image to a maximum size of 800 pixels wide, save it and bring each image to under 100kb in weight. (Irfanview has a slider on the save menu that allows you to do this :))

If you want more help, read the screenshot tutorials here (there's also an Irfanview tutorial) and for screenshot help visit Studio V Screenshot Workshop. ;)

As a side note, dont know if im stating the obvious here but in fsx you dont have to print screen and paste you just hit V and it gets saved imediatley to flight simulator x folder in my pictures, so you click away like mad and check them out when your finished.

Irfanview is a very handy, feature loaded piece of freeware.
It has been a must have with every reformat for years.
