I am 'The Stig'...

Postby Boca » Mon Feb 26, 2007 8:41 pm

..sorry,  but when I saw Dunsfold, *where 'Top Gear' the British car show is filmed*,was in the downloads section,  I couldn't help myself.  :D

Who is the Stig ? Well no-one knows, but here he is in action at Dunsfold.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NCMTQe97Z4

And here's my Top Gear report on the BMW 760 Li.  8-)

First, get the thing cleaned, ready for the show..

The Top Gear Studio's in that hanger..

The airfield's resident Boeing 747-200 (it's actually a very historic airport in it's own right, especially during the second world war. )

And we're off.

Though Dunsfold has a little more meaning to me than just the fact that Top Gear is recorded there, I really like your shots!

I'm goind to do some shots of a Harrier there later... Maybe even the MAAM B-25 + the Harrier :D

The first Stig was F1 driver Perry Mc Carthy
Image

The reason he was replaced was he tried to copyright the name 'the stig'. The copyright belongs to the top gear program and you don't mess with the BBC!

so they made him drive a Jag of the HMS Invincible, But Apparently he was trying to do 0-100 faster than a Harrier.

Hardly a F1 pilot, since he never saw the pitboard once!

Shees! 59 seconds flat! THAT IS really fast! How did you do in the Beamer?s

And while we're at the topic: I say the current Stig is Johnny Herbert.
He's probably the only retired F1 driver that is really good (sorry Alan!) and does not have a stick up his *ss (sorry Damon!)
