Ugly? IMO the sp is so much more appealing and full of personality than the anonymous 777 or the even more anonymous future 787. :-?

Seems, in fact, that the designers in Seattle feel that visual appeal has nothing to do with their planes anymore, lately.

Points of view. :P

Nice shots anyway. Have the very same plane myself and it's pleasant to use it from time to time too. :)

I disagree.  While I think the 747 is quite possibly the greatest, most beautifal bird in the sky, I think the 777 is beautiful from its monstrous powerplants to its perfectly circular fuselage.  The 787 will be innovative looking as welll
