Lets see you carry this Mr. A380!

Postby DONTREADMYUSERNAME » Thu Mar 29, 2007 4:24 pm

I'm tired of all this A380 hype. This is the true heavy.
Managed to get 3 shots before FSX crashed on me!
Took the "Transload" An-225 w/ shuttle out for an early morning flight.
Sorry about the quality, it took a hit in compression... :'(

Yea I know "I forgot to turn off progressive taxi"

as always comments welcome and wanted!

Don't compress them so much then. The biggest one is well under 30 Kb.

i was using YAFSS and i set it to compress to 800 pixels keeping scale proportional and set the slider to best quality/biggest file size, and this is what i got! All i did was crop it in paint!

Google Irfanview... Resize your shots with that and see if it makes a difference

mine are originally saved as 1280x1024 BMP's after whcih I resize the to 800x640 JPEG's

I've never used YAFSS so can't really comment except that you won't get the best quality from an automatic setting on any screengrab utility. My advice would be to set it at the highest possible quality & use IrfanView to resize & compress the images for posting. If it's quality you're after each shot will need a different quality setting to get as near the 100 Kb limit as possible. You will need to experiment but it's not difficult once you get used to it.

PS. Why not try MultiGrab?

I'm using FRAPS and PS, although I have found that FRAPS is giving me blurry images before I have even compressed them, is there any reason for this? I've told it to save the files in .jpeg...?

Good shots BTW  ;)
