Nice shots, CSM. Is this the default FSX scenery? Pretty detailed.

Nice shots CSM, like Crash said that default scenery looks pretty cool, the only thing that bugs me is the fact that M$ have decided to make nearly everywhere look sandy. Hopefully there will be a patch out soon to sort it out - it's Alaska M$ - not the Sahara! :P

:)

Why the hell are you all waiting for patches from ACES?

There are dozens of add-ons out there that can take care of that problem....like Adam Mill's textures, a texture fix for the desert-like rocky areas and maybe most important a new land-class (FS9 stuff works well).

You just gotta look for it.

Simply amazing. I really wish I had a PC to run FSX... Stunning, gorgeous shots there.

Have a look at the last two pictures in this thread, then tell me if it looks like like Alaska :P http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 1174378440

Sorry CSM, I'm not having a go at your shots, I think they're great - I'm having a go at M$. Alright, so there are texture downloads availbale to fix it, but lets face it - it's quite a large chunk of the world to texture wrongly, what about Canada, Greenland, Scotland & Norway (to name a few) textured like? Sandy I presume. I understand that some bugs will slip through the net & patches will be required - but such a blatant error is pathetic from such a large company.

maybe that was their go at barren ground, like tundra, without trees, and major grasses, (grass in some parts of the world get over 10ft or 3.3m

so they skipped out on some of the dark brown and light greens, and rocks, and caribou, giv'em a brake theyre only tring to recreate every area on earth

What do I do you ask? I struggle! Then destroy! Then try to put back together what I just broke on accident.....
