And largest, if I remember correctly.... or was it another airport? Can't remember... :P

What I remember is that compiling traffic for my Kai Tak, happened on a Russian runway on which a B52 looked like a Lear on one of the main runways at LIRF. It was simply gigantic. Forgot the airport's name. ::)

Onion Eaters. ???   You DO know that Concorde was a 50/50 BRITISH - French project, don't you ?  ::)   And for what it's worth, the French tried to cancel it a few times due to money constraints , but couldn't because they'd signed a 'no-bailing-out deal' with Britain.  It was the UK, rather than the French who really pushed the SST project along when it looked like falling flat on it's face, just like the American attempt did.

I thought 17/35 at Edwards AFB was the longest.

Edwards cheats though  ;) Isn't 17/35 just about... 5 7.5 miles of unpaved desert? Vostochny is a paved runway even longer than 4/22 at EDW.

And this is coming from someone who does 90+% of his flights out of EDW  :o

*Edit* Corrected myself  ;)
