There's no lunar eclipses in FS...

Postby ATI_7500 » Sat Mar 03, 2007 7:58 pm

...but nice sunsets and weather.

A relatively short hop from Prague to Hannover in the default 738.

My flight was loaded and ready to go when it suddenly started to rain. Dang! :P
Image

So I had to do the all careful taxiing to the runway. Pre-dried it a bit for the other airplanes and off I went.
Image

Typical rocket-like climb. Just to get out of that rain...
Image

Bye, bye sun...
Image

...helloooooo darkness!
Image

On approach into EDDV. Note the moon (at ~7pm).
Image

This was about...
Image

...one of my best and smoothest approaches.

Yet sadly I realized too late that auto throttle was still engaged and so I overshot a bit.
There's always something to ruin it for you. xP

You do have nice angling, as Gabe pointed out.  I too love sunset flying in FS.

Haha!  I've done the autothrottle thing too..

"Flare....wait, no, stop climbing, go down go down!  AAAAH!  AUTOTHROTTLE DISARM DISARM!  BRAKES!!!!!"

The worst though is when you accidentally hit E midflight and you have a weird approach cause you are only throttling one engine ;)

Nice to know I'm not the only one with that problem. ;D
