The Meeting Of Midway

Midway island in the middle of the Pacific. There isn't a lot of it as you can see, but a vital battle was fought between the United States Navy and the Japanese Empire here between the 4th and 7th of June. It's successful outcome was crucial to the United States eventual victory in the Pacific war.
A Hellcat rises to the challenge..



And a Japanese Zero answers it.

Oh SH**.... the best of it is, I KNOW it's a Wildcat. But for some reason or another , while I was looking at it, I began to think of the Hellcat, and must have written down what I was thinking, rather than what I was looking at.  ;D
