...parking at the old "Beaver-Terminal" in the harbour of Hamburg, Germany.

I started at EDDH, flew a bit towards south and landed there.







I think this was worth some screenshots!

It is the terminal, where a pilot who flew in Canada offered sightseeing tours for the public.

Last year, he crashed down here in Hamburg because his engine failured. The pilot tried to land the plane on a freights depot, but crashed against a freight car and burned immediatly. Five of six are dead now, including the pilot and a 15-year old boy, who got the flight as a birthday present. Pilot died later in hospital. Everyone here in hamburg shocked this very hard, because we heard the plane everyday flying over our beautiful town. Now there is nothing but a sad silence. This was him:

Got it from Avsim, searched before on Simv, but didn't found one.

Ah, EDDH, my third favourite airport (after EDFM and EDDV).

I like the location almost right in the city. There's no corner in hamburg where you don't have aircraft roaring over you every couple of minutes.

Yep, that Beaver is the thing I remember most from my trip to Hamburg many years ago..... Sad thing.....
