Always makes me wonder what the Americans were thinking off during WWII... Did they chrome all their planes to dazzle the luftwaffe ?  ;D

(yes I know thats Swedish, but the Americans sure do like their chrome. P-51s, P-38s, B-29s...etc )

Maybe there was a big paint shortage in the USA during the war.  ;) ;D
