F-22 escorting the 777

Postby Conan Edogawa » Tue Feb 06, 2007 1:31 pm

Was bored today, so I took off from Area 51 and flew straight into heaven, where I suddenly saw this plane (far, far away of course). And  - who haven't already done it ;D - I followed it and escorted it for a while!

Then I realised that it was a 777:

I think the passengers were a bit scared ;D

Finally the break-off:

The F-22 Raptor model is great! I've got much fun with it. The red text line in the over left corner is only activated when I'm flying military aircrafts. I need it for acceleration (always want to fly below 6 - 7 G's) and the fuel capacity.

I did not use any autopilot function to keep the a/c calm. :)

My only fear was that the 777 could suddenly make a hard right turn and the flight would be gone!

"Landmark 1123, you got military traffic on your 3 o'clock position. Roport them in sight!"

"Where??" *turning hardly right to have a better view*

*Craaaash*

"Eject eject eject!!"

"Ouups...  ::)"

Yeees, that's how professional airline pilots usually do in such circumstances...

At least those who auditioned for the "Airplane!" series  :P

Ah, the greatest movie about aviation ever... and the most trustworthy too. At least there they tried to make you laugh purposefully, instead of so many other self-important movies that are ridiculous just because they are. The last one a week or so ago; mid-air impact with a Cessna 310, plane intact beside the elevators that remain locked in ascent, a military chopper goes behind them (in complete disregard of any wake turbulence) and with a high caliber machine-gun shoots holes in the elevators to reduce the plane's ascent ratio.

I changed channel in disgust. >:(

I love this plane. It's actually a squadron at KLFI, and i've seen a plane from this squadron in a demonstration.

This plane is a delight to fly escorts in, ain't it?

Great shots!!!
That's 20,000 points!
--Gotta get her underwear
I'll get 'em...
[Hilarity ensues]
All I got to do now is find a one-legged nun walking a goat and I win.

--------
Yeah, I didn't like her anyway. [i]S

Believe me, it really is. You know the game "F-22 Lightning 3"? I've lost it but I think I'll rebuy it. ;D

When I try to intercept another airplane, I fly the CORAL F-15 and I always end up blowing by it. I have used somebody's nice P-51 but the contact points are such that I get a collision at about 100 yards out...
