VFR real scenery

Postby Scudrunner » Tue Jan 09, 2007 7:57 pm

The following was made with Just Flight VFR Real Scenery Demo installed in FSX. I was getting about 2.5 fps with their suggested settings. Nice scenery but my puter won't run it. Gonna stick to FS9.

My opinion, it looks better than anything I have seen so far, especially at low altitude. But to each his own.

Isn't the Just Flight VFR stuff supposed to look it's best from a minimum of about 3000ft? Not sure about FSX, but this was the case in FS9.

Nice shot BTW.

That is the way most of it is. Looks like crap below 3000'. I have Ultimate Terrain (USA) and FScene (Europe and Africa) in my FS9 and you have to be high (altitude wise) to be looking good. I had some photorealistic scenery for the Los Angeles area and took it out because it looked so bad a low altitude.

Ultimate Terrain looks awesome from every altitude, because it keeps the autogen (if you don't put in the night lights & smallest roads).
