...holy crap.   Though I've never played this game before, I might just have to...a lot.  I saw the first shot and was taken off guard by it's quality and realism.   Oh, and the other shots are nice too  ;D

The problem when you are a frequent MS Flight Sim player, and you give a try to such games, is that you quickly face two major problems:
- lack of flyable airplanes (there are 5 or 6 in LockOn...)
- lack of clickable cockpit (I cannot and I don't want to lear any new keys combinations anymore)

I buyed it for 10 euros last year, installed it, played 10 minutes and uninstalled.
The same occured to SFP1.

But now is about to happen a new mod for LockOn, named BlackShark, in which you'll be able to pilot an helicopter. On the teaser videos, I could see the player clicking on the cockpit buttons, so there is hope :)

LOMAC is a beauty to look at, as can be seen here, but it's just too demanding and complex to be truly practical IMHO.

However, the flyable aircraft are of great quality, and those key combinations aren't too hard to remember once you've had a go at the training missions.

Not to mention the flight models, which are far superior to FS. I much prefer flying fighters in LOMAC than I do in FS9.

I got almost all of the key strokes mapped out on my HOTAS, so the lack of a clickable cockpit really doesn't bother me...

...I mean, once in a while I have to take my hand off the throttle to shut down the engine... ::)

And Heathaze, Lock on is very very demanding and you do need a rather high end system to run it well, but I don't know about the "too complex" part...

...it is suppose to be a modern day fighter simulator, so there will be a steep learning curve*... ::)\

Jeff ;D

Which Systems ? The rockets are easy, with radar and so on, there is one training video, that is very helpful, but I don

One tip if you'd like more flyable aircraft (making the AI flyable, that is);

Open the MEInit file in the ME folder, then replace all of the HumanCockpit="no" lines with HumanCockpit="yes".

They all fly like MiG-29s and have the SU-27 cockpit, but some aircraft feel pretty realistic (SU-30, F/A-18A/C, Mirage 2000, etc), and it could be good for taking screenshots too. There's some pretty nice models in there.

Exellent shots! The last two are amazing! Almost wants to make to want to reinstall LOMAC, I uninstalled it because of frequent crashes which I had no solution to.

The only parts which I think may be a problem are my Radeon X850 and the Sound Blast live! 24bit. Is there any known bugs with LOMAC with these? Would updating sound drivers help? (Have latest Radeon drivers)
