Ah, the memories. 8-)

The incredible amount of damage I did both in London and St Francisco, both with it and its ancestor (though not in London, MM1 ran only in St Francisco... I think it was :-? ), would be something to put one in jail for three consecutive reincarnations. ;D

Shame both games ceased to work correctly with the advent of WinXp making me forget their CD's somewhere in a drawer. :'(

Is there a way to make them work in Xp? If there is, I could try and find them again. :)

No, MM1 was in Chicago (With the skyhigh metro trains ;) )
And I'm running MM2 on WinXP home, so it should work :)

Lessee... MM1 under WXp showed serious problem to the models of the cars, their tires went from normal to empty circles. As for Chicago... can't remember, so I'll give you a thumb up. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

MM2... hmmmm... MM2... :-?

Where the heck did I put it? I've reinstalled FS98 for retrogaming, why the hell not MM2. I'll try and find it again. :D

Does someone know if it's possible to put a stitch to MM1 under WXp, though? While MM2 was good, MM1 had some things that makes me want to play it too.

I'm in a mood for retrogaming and I'm so sad, because beside Midtown Madness 1 I'd like to play once again with Monster Truck the first (who remembers it? :D) but can't get enough guts to reinstall it. Remember that it FORCED the installation of DirectX 3 even on machines with newer Dx versions. You had Dx5 on your PC, install MT1 and... oops, you were back to Dx3. This sometimes gave the start to a hell of a mess with Dx configuration I don't want to experience ever again. ;D

I need to load that game on this computer, haven't played ion a while...

i seem to remember that the best ways to lose cops in san fran was to get alot of speed near the docks and hit one of the big metal things that came out of the docks. in london it was to go over the drawbridge just as it opened fully.

dont forget the supersonic windsurfers in the san fran bay ;D

Nah, If you really want to loose cops in San Francisco, then just drive out ON the dock! (The large empty one) Then they will just turn 180 and flee!  :o (If you don't want to try that, try the Golden Gate Bridge, and try to get the cops to hit the light poles, and they will break pretty fast! ;) ;D )
