Fast, Faster, Fastest....

Postby fabiane » Wed Nov 01, 2006 2:10 pm

flying passenger aircraft. No scenery, no Ai-Traffic, just the plain Concorde. I've been to Sinsheim ( http://www.technik-museum.de/uk/ ) lately. They've got a Concorde and a Tu-144, both walk in planes! Very impressive planes. So I did some Concorde flying today.

Greetings,
Fabian

Best looking passenger plane EVER. Nothing comes close.

P.S. I wouldn't mind going to that museum. Looks nice.

TU-144 :P

You don't like the Concordski, do you? In fact it's still holding the record for fastest passenger aircraft, but one has to admit, that she hasn't been in service for a long time. Both are awsome planes, but they can't compete with Jakes, DC-3 ;D.

Tu-144 was bigger and faster, but it broke in two pieces at Le Bouget and Pax. service was discontinued.

Both reunited at Sinsheim, you can see the stairs to the planes clearly:

If you are in Southern part of Germany once go and visit that museum. It's very cool.

Greetings,
Fabian

Actually, the TU-144 was only faster over very short distances and couldn't maintain mach 2 unless the afterburners were constantly on. As a result, the Concorde would kick it's ass in a London to New York race.  The concorde only needs afterburners for about 45 minutes of the whole flight, but is/was so stable and well designed, it could maintain full speed.

Your signature is nice too, but needs to be a lot smaller (pixel wise) and less than 30 KB, otherwise a mod will soon dipose of it. :)
