I will be honest, not as "fluid" as I would like and definitely not like my FS9.

This location is a nice "testing ground' for me as it has a very detailed airport and as you fly up, out and around the island, you get to see how your machine adjusts to the texture loads. So you go from a very hardware demanding scenery, to only water & sky to render. So you see, you get to see how quickly

I was wondering when you'd yield to FSX temptation....  ;)
Fantastic as expected.... looks like I'm going to be one of the last SimV-ers to convert.... ah well.

Nice and clear shots.

However Dave I would have to disagree with you that test flying over that area is a good idea.

As a matter of fact that area is extremely unlike other areas in FSX which will tax an untweaked sim a lot lot lot more.

That partcular area was set-up by Microsoft in the early stages to use as a demo and is quite fluid and is very misleading.

The trick with FSX is knowing which tweaks work and why.............. the same as it was with Fs9.

Only this time trickier................. a lot trickier

It is no surprise that your performance is below your expectations.

But everyone loves you and your screenshots.................

and they are nice.

mind numbing....I've been holding off FSX, but this superb set is drawing me closer to breaking down. The first pic is a perfect blend of color... Lear, water reflect....serious eye candy... :) Dave, what do you think of posting a 2 or three pic series with brief description of your methodology at the Studio...we could call the thread "On The Fly".. ;)
