Postby Clipper » Sun Nov 05, 2006 10:38 pm

It's been way too long since I've put up a Planespotters so here's something to think about...

I'm sitting on a rooftop minding my own business sneakin' a smoke when this ___________ appears above my head, seemingly out of nowhere..So what accosted me and where am I? (what city)

I agree with Jakemasters location. You saw a OH-6A Cayuse.

Location is correct, this should give you a hint as to what object appears above my head...

Is it one of those big UFO's from the Independance Day package and you can land inside of them and stuff? I remember landing a 747 into one of those.....

Its a blimp ;)

Wait, I just reread it and saw you said Squadron, so it must be Curtiss Goshawks, or whatever those AI planes are that come with Bill Lyons Golden Hawaii package

You're right Jake! You can see a bit of a prop in the first shot!

Since they are Golden Hawaii, I assume the second one is something from the Golden Hawaii package as well...Don't know yet though ???

Case solved...nice work Jake, it's a Navy blimp, the squadron was Goshawks, it is Bill Lyon's Golden Hawaii, there's another type of aircraft included in this bizarre armamada that's yet to be identified...can anyone complete the puzzle with the name of that aircraft?

its a sikorsky s-43 amphibian i think, twin engine, in pan am and inter island liveries. there is also a ford panel truck around there somewhere. there is a waco classic biplane, beech staggerwing, ryan sta, piper cub, curtiss hawk and goshawk, and some other called lockheed ai. am i right?
