Great shots John. Self-shadowing wasn't turned on though. If it doesnt work inform me... didnt read that part of the read-me to closely.

As much as I'd like to take the next step in Flight sim gaming, I dont think I want to purchase an IBM main frame just to play it...

Ahhh... that's the nature of the beast.

Technology advances all the time and game designers almost have a duty to push it to the limit with every new release they come out with. What about all those guys who have invested in state of the art kit? They would be really pi**ed off wouldn't they, if when they moved up to FSX it was just like FS9 and didn't have all the fancy new features that their kit is capable of but older kit isn't?

There's no equality in PCs - but it's no different to anything else. Do you expect to get the same performance out of your 1990 VW Beetle as your mate does with his new BMW 3 Series?

I don't think so

Yeah I remember reading somewhere that if its turned off it gives a slight FPS boost, so I thought I'd try it out. Thanks for all the nice comments guys :D

Dual 7900GTXs and you dropped to 10-15?  Bet you don't see that much on that rig.

I really hope that M$ fixes those shadows on the water. You don't really see/notice shadows on water and that just looks wrong. :P

Those are fantastic shots John! I'd like to have your rig for an hour of two ;)

I'm rubbish at hardware Roger and I can't make head or tail of your answer either. :o :P

What Roger was trying to explain is that John has two identical videocards liked together via a system that is called SLI (Scalable Link Interface) in his motherboard. So 2x512 MB = Great performance and graphics (see example above ;))

Here's a good explaination of SLI.

If you don't have hundreds of dolloars lying around for two of those cards you might want to try FS-GS.
