Johns FSX shots

Postby Sir_Jon » Sat Aug 12, 2006 12:48 pm

Seeing as everyone else was posting some, I thought I would join in. These shots were with all the sliders to the right. Sorry about the lack of interesting angles etc, these shots a mainly to show how it would look on a high end pc. Enjoy!

Very good indeed. When I was out over the sea I was getting 20-25 FPS per second, however when I approached St Maarten it dropped dramitacally and ate my FPS, only getting 10-15. Still, I'm very happy because I should get excellent FPS when the real game comes out :D

With your system setup you were getting 10-15 FPS???  1GB worth of video, SLI even!   :o

I don't quite understand your video card. What is a 512x2 etc etc. Have you two of the same card in or something?
Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Intel Core 2 Duo E2180 2GHz
GA-P35-DS3L Intel P35
Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2) DDR2 6400C4 800Mhz
GeForce 8800 GT 512MB
2 x 22" monitors
200GB Sata
Be Quiet! Straight Power 650W

Where've you been?

SLI is with 2 x nVidia cards, Crossfire is with 2 ATI cards (PCI-express that is)
Then you combine that with a dual core CPU, SATA drives in a RAID configuration and about 2GB of special high speed RAM and you've got something like the minimum configuration to run FSX  :D

Hopefully yes. This is a buggy pre release demo/beta to put it bluntly. When the game comes out, many of the issues will be fixed, and soon the Flight Sim communinty will find ways to tweak it so its even more FPS friendly.
