Pic No1:
Note that at ground level, the ground textures are even "fuzzier" and more "blurry" than they are in FS 2004.
I was hoping that they would be "sharper" and more defined.
The grass still doesn't look anything like the grass in my back garden... ;)...!
...and where are the hedgerows, I wonder... :o...?

Paul....low and slow....especially at ground level... ;)... ;D...!

P.S. Just noticed, as Ash mentioned; Photoreal Textures!
Now they always look really naff at ground level...They are FLAT...!!

ground texture res can be put higher (15 cm or so max resolution)

You dont need to worry about that Paul... the sim will allow you to select both mesh and texture resolution to a scale that would bring most hardware to its knees. It will require SLI or Crossfire with a dual processor to run the sim at those resolutions and max configuration settings and still have a frame rate for smooth flying but sharp textures and mesh are not an issue, just hardware.

As for SP1, I saw your post in the other thread.. The installer looks for SP2 files Paul. Try and install it anyway. I have heard from a few that you may get it to slip through the cracks but dont expect it to... you do need SP2.

Hi Nick...;)...!

Unfortunately, as regards upgrading to SP2 from my OEM version of Win XP SP1, Uncle Bill has found all the cracks in the system, and filled them all up, thus preventing me from upgrading to SP2....I've tried it, and the Heavy Gang are coming round to see me...sometime soon...
...if you know what I mean... ;)...!

...arse... >:(...!

LOL...!

Paul...(I hate SP2).... ;D...!
