FLIGHT SIMULATOR X!

Postby Jakemaster » Wed Aug 09, 2006 11:11 pm

ITS AMAZING!  IM IN LOVE!  Its perfect!  Well, not perfect, its pretty intense on the computer, but I have gotten it set to run so it looks amazing and runs smoothly (even though I cant have self shadowing or light bloom :-/)

Here are some shots I took before I tweeked the hell out of the settings

TREES!  SO MANY BEAUTIFUL TREES!  And finally they actually fit the location!

Oh Paul!  Look!  A lovely, and very fun little flexwing
Image
VC!  THE VIRTUAL COCKPITS ARE AMAZING!  Better than ANY ive seen for FS9, and the gauges are so clear and run super duper smooth
Image
And this is what happens when you cant land.  Either the flight model needs some work or I just need practice, but I could not slow it down to the required 130 knots so I rolled right off the runway and slid to a stop in the water...

FSX IS AMAZING!  I cant describe it, you just have to see for yourself

Very impressive. That VC actually looks better than some FS9 payware cockpits, hard to believe it's default.

Sure wish I could try this thing, but if the sim's as tough on the system as people say, then I probably shouldn't even bother.

Damned ! The VC textures are really great  8)
Did you have a chance to test it a little bit ? Is it still like FS9 default planes, where you could just use the light switches, or can you actually use all the switches, and shut down the engines and electrical ?

Actually I get 15-30 in FSX, not all that bad.

As far as I can tell most stuff is clickable.  With the new camera you click A and it takes you to different parts of the cockpit (so cool)
