Nice water indeed, a reflection too, cool... I presume it will look better in game...and on an optimised machine....

The textures and colors tend to be too bright in FSX... makes it look a bit cartoonish for my taste

I don't know... the tropical sun light is quite well rendered there, I think...
Anyway, no doubt some addons like FS Sky Wolrd will offer some additionnal day/dawn/dusk light, just like for FS9 :)

That's what I like to see...
Some sensible shots taken at ground level or near ground level, instead of daft shots taken at 50,000 feet AGL in a clear blue sky where amazing ground textures are a totally wasted... :o...!

What we need are some low-level Bush Pilots showing off a few pics...;)...!

By the way....
What's all this I hear about Service pack 2 being in place before FSX will work... :o... :o...!

Does that mean that for all those, like me, who still are quite happy with SP1, will not be able to purchase FSX... :o...!

SP2 often creates more problems than it cures, particularly during Multiplayer flights...!

...and I really dont want, or need, Microsoft to keep poking me in the ribs to download yet another massive up-date file on my 56k Dial-Up Modem... :o...!

So......

Is SP2 REALLY NECESSARY/ESSENTIAL FOR FSX TO RUN... :'(...?

Paul....OEM Win XP Pro. SP1.... 8)...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Yes... and count on it that most recent games will need SP2

...and I really dont want, or need, Microsoft to keep poking me in the ribs to download yet another massive up-date file on my 56k Dial-Up Modem... ...!

Then order the CD...
