Today ... 61 years ago

Postby haroldkip » Sun Aug 06, 2006 4:13 pm

Hi All,

Let us not for get what happened to the people of Hiroshima today, 61 years ago.
And then three days later to the people of Nagasaki ...

But on the other side, those evens led to the end of World War II.

Nothing fancy, but I'd like to share my way of remembering ...

Lovely and deadly bird. Too bad what happened to the Japs. Too bad what they did to the US. But it had to end somehow.

And dropping the bomb ment not having to actually invade Japan, which would have wound up causing lots more casualties, on both sides.

Great shot, Harold.

The people of the day took the decision to use the bomb, it was they're call, they're lives at stake.

One can only hope nothing like that ever happens again.
