Italian Scenery Design=masterpieces

Postby FridayChild » Sun May 14, 2006 5:25 am

I'd already installed their LIRF scenery: amazing.
Now I've decided to try something a little closer to home, and I've installed LIPZ (Venezia Tessera): another masterpiece.

Notice the Volare Web static airplane on the right...
I've got the feeling this is going to be my new home airport. After all it's just 40 minutes from my door.  ;)

The shot also shows Lennart's textures, which I have just applied.
Instead of using the Texture Switch program, I just did a backup of my texture folder for safety reasons and I overwrote my textures with Lennart's.
As I understand (Lennart's english is not very good...) these textures are more suitable for North Europe, so installing them in the World folder can be suboptimal, but they do seem to look better than the default textures.
For those who have tried Lennart's, what do you think of them?

It was me indeed.  ;)
As I said, I just copied them in the scenery\world\texture folder.

I did exactly the same thing you did.  I really like lennarts textures, they are the only textures I have instaled (other than AEU)

The textures are brilliant.
I quickly came to realise that Silverwings textures didn't look very good at high level at all, and often not at low level either.
Lennart's textures have just made my sim many times as good as it once was. Amazing stuff.  8)

When you're done with Venezia Tessera and Fiumicino come to my local airport LIMZ Cuneo Levaldigi. Get it here

LOL  Cuneo Levaldigi 'International' Airpot -- One can only fly to and from Bucharest!!!!!!!  Not even Nizza!!! When they rebuilt it after the fire they constructed a massive terminal but did little with the actual airport facilities.  There's a constant  problem with Caselle as the airspace overlaps in such a way that you have to b er given clearance to establish by Torino and clearance to land by Levaldigi.
