Rip This Pic!

Postby Clipper » Sat May 13, 2006 7:02 am

I was thinking of putting this pic into this month's comp, but thought better of it at the last moment. For something to do on a rainy Saturday, would you guys mind giving an honest critique and/or opinion about what you see in this shot. The more detailed the critique the better....c'mon..really...don't be shy.. :)

I agree with Sir Jon: the fence is in too much of the shot.  But I do like the somber tone, even if it is a bit dark. ;)

My comment...

That shot is DISGUSTING, REVOLTING, HORRIBLE, and NASTY!  :P ;D

Of course I'm joking...

It's got a little too much fence...but who cares...it's got a beautiful aircraft in it and that's all that matters 8)

I wonder...how did you get those deep black/gray clouds...I would really love to replicate those in FS9 because we get some of those clouds too in Rome...would love to see them in FS9 8)

I think the fence is just right, as a spotter would be able to see the bird...and nice "used and weathered" textures! and the cold light...looks like a rainy november morning.

Not a fan of the B-26 myself, but a nice shot Clip. Maybe reposition the view so the fence isn't "as intense", but leave some in. In my opinion the fence takes away from the focus of the aircraft, and more on the foreground.

Nice colors though. Looks like it just rained/is about to rain. :)

Thanks everyone for your great critiques. You're really helpful in making me understand screenshots from a perspective other than my own. If anyone else wants to try asking for a more "intense" critique of their shot(s), I think it would be great...Just post your own "Rip This Pic" thread and throw a couple of your quality pics at us....just a thought...and Kip, Jared....you're too much..
