After Sheppard's team managed to outsmart the Wraith virus the captain orders the ship to return to Atlantis for repairs. But as the Daedalus heads to Atlantis it unexpectedly drops out of hyperspace and immediately finds itself next to a planet.

Image

The captain orders the crew to make a system-wide diagnostic and nothing unusual comes up. So the captain orders the ship to continue on course.

Image

But the crew and Sheppard's team soon realize something is wrong. The ship if not moving forward but instead it's moving backwards even with engines and full.

Image

The sensors then pick up an anomaly behind them and it's not what they wanted to see. They discover that they are caught in the event horizon of a blackhole that is slowly sucking up the sun next to it.

Image

Can Sheppard's team and the crew of Daedalus hatch up a plan to get out of this?

Alrot, Orbiter is the hobby of Dr. Martin Schweigert; not a professionally- produced sim. His views on Orbiter as payware are decidedly adamant - it ain't going to be payware, ever.

what do you do in orbiter? Lift off, set your ship on course for pluto, and come back next decade to see if it's there? ;D ;)

does it realy take that long... as in, is the timing as real as fs? (like, if you go to the moon in a shuttle, would it take 4 days?)

It can if you want it to. Obviously it has a time-warp feature which allows you to speed the rate up some - to approx 10,000 times speed, last I checked. ;D

Really; if you're curious just check out www.orbitersim.com.

I got the ship at www.orbithangar.com. Just type in "daedalus" in the search and it should come up. The addon also comes with a separate star system that focuses on Atlantica [homeworld of Atlantis].
