I think that phantom is the greatest aircraft of all time

WHEN WILL YOU PEOPLE REALIZE THAT THE DC-3 PLAYED A MAJOR PART IN WINNING THE WAR!?

If you havent realized it yet, the spit and hurri may have shot down some germans, but in the end THE DC-3 HAS DONE MORE AND CONTINUES TO DO MORE IN BETTER WAYS THAN ANY OTHER PLANE!

Of course, if the Hurricane and Spit hadn't lead the RAF to victory in July 1940, then the DC-3 may not have had a chance to enter the war...*

Ok as a passenger aircraft it is unmatched but at the end of the day and which really matters, if you had the chance which one would you prefer to be in the cockpit of?

Well, DC-3, co pilot, big yoke, small windows...


...or, Spitfire, cosy cockpit, nice stick, nice canopy to admire the world, and as a winner, a Merlin or Griffon purrrrring away in front of you...

Concorde, simply becasue DC-3 isnt my type of thing and Spitfire was used to kill people, although it did arguably save move lives than it cost.

If there was always going to be three polls, why have the three clear favorites, ie, DC3, Spit' and Concorde been put in the same one?

There is a real danger of the vote being split between these and us all voting for the same plane in poll 2 or 3. That means there is a real danger that the Tigermoth or the Cri-Cri could be the overall winner!!

These polls are great fun but I do think there should be a max of 8 entries so that it will fit into one poll.

Anyway, VOTE CONCORDE!!!!

Simon, with so many nominations, it's impossible to have only 8 aircraft in our poll. I've added "None of the above" in these polls to try to aleviate the potential for that happening. Up 'till now, it's not been an issue, but thanks for bringing it to my attention.
