Having a little fun in Hong Kong

Postby Triple_7 » Wed Mar 15, 2006 10:49 pm

These were hiding on my hardrive.  Not even sure what trip to Hong Kong this was.  Might have been from several months ago :-[

Decided to have a few crosswind landings.  Most were really bad but this was the one successful.

Hmmm...What runway to land on...25R...nope...25L...thats more like it.

Needless to say it was around a 40-50 knot crosswind aprox 90

*Beep*

We have now arrive, in one piece, at Hong Kong Int'l. Thank you for enjoying the view of the runway as our captain, Triple_7, attempted an unusual landing. Have a good day.

I think there is a few of us from FTG....I tend to not fly online due to computer isues ;)  I take full advantage of the affiliates...561.6 hours, 118 flights, only 22 of them with Air France :P  All flights have departed from where I left off.  No gaps between destinations ;)  Last AF flight was back in December from Buenos Aires to Paris...Tend to spend a lot of time in Asia or the US.  All flights done in real time, signed up back in June of 2004.

Plan to head back to Paris this weekend and fly a few AF flights.  Might take the Concorde again, havent flown it well over a year ;)  Such a sexy bird...its a sin to just let it collect dust in my hanger :P

Currently sitting in Kuala Lumpur ;)

Interesting landing! But nicely done with that wind nevertheless.

I'm in FTG too, VS744 is my number. I do what you do, only fly from my previous destination. Spend ages going through the routefinder planing my next couple of hops!

BTW, your shots reminded me of an old joke;

Co Pilot: are you sure we're on the right vector for the runway, can't see a thing?!

Pilot: 'Course we are, ah, there it is...

Co Pilot: Blimy, bit short isn't it?

Pilot: Yes, but look how wide it is!!! ::)

Yup, fly the same way as you triple, except I do it out of a set hub-I do hops, normally two to six legs that always start and end up back in New York (normally JFK, occasionally LGA).  This is only when I'm flying for Delta, however.
