Pacific Islands 1

Postby krigl » Fri Mar 10, 2006 6:49 pm

Hi, last month and this I've been flying a lot in the Pacific, using Bill Melichar's scenery for Bora Bora, Maupiti etc, and some other stuff.... Waspiflab set me off on this with his pic of Midway by Kazuo Kawamura he posted a while back... so thanks Waspiflab!

Yes, I know the ATN Airbus is fictional, and some of the other planes in the whole set are a bit out of context but I like the paint jobs and planes ;) The Twin Otters are at least where they should be...

These pics are "The Sex" K. Beautiful scenery and aircraft combinations. ... I've GOT to land that pic #4 airstrip..... and thanks for the link. Unfortunatly I downloaded the wrong Bora Bora. Hate to be a pain in the butt, but could you re-send the actual Bora Bora link?....Thanks Roger.. :)

Okay, so here are the scenery details, copied from the readme:

FS2004, Bora Bora Hotels V2
By: Bill Melichar

You must have the land class by James Thompson installed, or this scenery will not work correctly, and you will have hotels sitting out in the bay. It can be found under the name Society_Islands.zip.

The terrain mesh by Rolf Keibel and John Applegate must also be installed for the scenery to show up properly. It can be found under the name fpsimesh.zip.

You can find this scenery on many major flightsim sites, just do a search. I can't remember if I got it from SimV or Avsim.

Bill Melichar has done a ton of other airport scenery for the region, just search his name and you should get them.

Cheers
