Spitfire's 70th

Postby cspyro21 » Sun Mar 05, 2006 8:17 am

Well, the Spit's 70th birthday is today, and this is just my little way of saying "Happy Birthday" to it - with a scrapbook of Spitfires Over The Years.

Happy Birthday Spitfire!

Nice set, that second one looks a bit like a painting!

Wonderfull shots there mate.

The Spitfire is a legend of aviation, and I hope that there will always be at least a few flying somewhere in the world in the future.

I just love the sound of a good ol Merlin to wake you up...  ;)

Cheers,

Steve

Superb views here C. We don't spend enough time in this classic warbird. If it only had functional guns... ;)

Aeroplane Heaven released 3 of their paywhere air craft for free yesterday, not just the spitfire.  The other 2 were the Schmittfire and the seafire, the german on was a modifide captured spit and the seafire was a modifed vesian to land on carriars.
