sorry diesel to hi-jack your post.
I uded to do that also in the past, and I can say that your work looks very clean. sure it will fly perfectly.

just be carefull with the weight... with such wingspan and engine, you really have to look at every grammes...

keep on the good work

vince

Sorted all that out, she is being built all in balsa and found a skin on the net which is heat shrink plastic, fuel tank etc is aslo plastic, the only metal really is the engine and some nuts and bolts. Tell the truth although I am enjoying this build, I aint gonna keep her, fly her a bit then sell to raise enough cash for my next project which will be a large lancaster.

p.s. check the RAF for your merlin, being ex RAF myself you would be surprised what is knocking about, they did once have a load of old aircraft at RAF Catterick sitting out on the airfield for target practice lol

Alas the BBMF have them all now... however I've got two solid "possibles" and I've just sorted out the Rotol 4-blade prop (just gotta get it shipped over, that'll cost a packet!) :o

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
