Get the practice in

Postby Diesel_Burn » Mon Mar 06, 2006 8:14 am

I am going to have to fly the Spit more often, I should be flying the scale model by summer.
The second pic is the Supermarine Spitfire Mk V. Will be fully operational soon, its a 1:10 model, length = 3ft 9in, height = 1ft 2in, wingspan = 4ft 8in. and will be fitted with a 6.47cc engine. Hope ya enjoy

I just bought the blueprints from my local hobby shop, and dug out various parts from the net, had to have other parts made like the nose cone. That is it's current state at the moment but got time off coming up so going to see how much I can get done.

Not at the moment as she is a large pile of sheet metal and parts... once I have something that looks vaguely plane-like I'll post some snaps (and I'm not going to the workshop until it warms up a bit and we've moved to he new place) ;)

is it a cockpit for FS, or something else?

A mock up for your living room, or a real one????

sorry diesel to hi-jack your post.
I uded to do that also in the past, and I can say that your work looks very clean. sure it will fly perfectly.

just be carefull with the weight... with such wingspan and engine, you really have to look at every grammes...

keep on the good work

If I ever manage to get a 60 series Merlin she'll fly! Long way off yet though! I'm looking at a good 10 years work with this (if I'm lucky)!
