Comet flight

Postby simonmd » Thu Feb 02, 2006 11:24 am

Here's one i've not flown for a while, the ground breaking and acheingly beautifull DeHavilland Comet4, the first jet airliner to cross the atlantic.

All aboard, love the 'art deco' style airstairs, engines deffinately OFF at this stage!

Up and away, if only you could hear the noise!

Up at cruise already,

Stunning shape, eh?

Got dark by the time I landed, an enjoyable flight.

Yes it is of course one of David Maltby's models. No VC i'm affraid, only his Trident and BAC1-11 have them.

I prefer the short fuselage of the Comet 1, but any Comet is still a lovely shape in the sky.
