Alaska 1049, KBOS-PANK part 1

Postby flyboy 28 » Sat Jan 28, 2006 8:37 pm

"Finally," I thought. "It's time to leave this Godforsaken state and return back home. Why is Debbie's mom always so b!tchy? Oh well. All I know is I don't have to see her for another year."

As we drove to Logan, Debbie slept. I have no idea why she opted to get tickets from Boston, as Newark was only a fifteen-minute drive from her parent's house. Oh well. At least I can listen to the Buckeyes game in peace without "What the heck is a safety?" or "What's the quarterback do again?"

*grumble* They were up by 24, but blew it in the fourth quarter. Typical.

As we had entered the airport, we got past the usual security and ticket counter without any problems. The guy at the rental-car place was a little know-it-all. But I don't care. All I know is my flight was on time and the kids were quiet.

We got on the plane. Seems that we're flying on a "Boeing MD-83" Pfft. All Greek to me. All I know is that it has two wings and flies. And hopefully gets me out of Massachusetts and back to my cabin in Anchorage.

A nice day to fly. Clear skies and a little bit of wind.

We pushed back and the plane began to rumble. Debbie started to flip out, but I knew it was just the engines kicking on.

Urgh. We waited for thirty minutes waiting to take off. Stupid Labor Day travellers.

Finally, we were cleared to take off. Busy day today I guess.

These things go fast. Quick. We roared down the runway. The kids loved it. Debbie hated it. To be fair, she hated flying in general. Too bad she slept in the car. It would have been better on the plane.

We blasted by a British Airways jet. They're going the same distance I guess. Just the other way. It had a pretty colorful tail, too.

Hunnnngghhh! I remember learning about G-Forces in my 10th-grade Physics class. This is what Dr. Schroder must have been on about..

Actually around 25. I had my terrain mesh quality set on 0, as you can't see any of the default stuff on the ground. :P

I have a feeling not all is going to go as it should....

Stay tuned!
