Oh I see why he's closer - its a double-prop (or Turboprop?) !!

Heres a wild guess. Hughes XF-11 1st prototype. The one he crashed in Beverly Hills.

Hey, cool. I saw the pic and immediatly there was X-11 written in bright red all across the pic.... Very carateristic that plane....
