That works. I nominate The DC-2. While not as famous as the DC-3, it laid the groundwork for one of the most influncial airliners ever.

If it was ANY prop plane, I'd go for the Supermarine Spitfire IX!

I nominate the most successful aircraft of all time...
The venerable Cessna 152...!
..(but then again, I'm biased...)... ;)...!

This is the little aircraft that most pilots gained their Pilot's Licence on... ;D...!

If you're talking any prop plane, I'll have to agree with Tweek. The Spit is the probably the most beautiful in lines. Possibly as a runner up the Mustang.

If we're talking simply the most beautiful prop aircraft ever, i nominate the Hughes H1 racer, or rather Jim Wright's replica, Serial #2:

The Piper Cub is a taildragger type...
You have to pass a type test to fly one of those, after obtaining you licence first on a tricycle type aircraft...;)...!

That Hughes racer is gorgeous!!!!  :o :o :o

My favourite prop plane ever right now has to be the Breguet Provence, but don't bother polling that, not many people would vote for it :)

So many others to choose from... the Beech Starship, the Connie I agree with, and of course warbirds, but that goes without saying and perhaps should be in a different poll...er, like, well, you know, best warbird ;) :D....

I like these polls, and I'm astonished that two European planes have 'won' so far.... Concorde doesn't suprise me, but the Typhoon did, don't like it's looks much...

Keep 'em coming Clipper
