There's one thing you may find unusual and unexpected about these three shots taken on departure at Logan...can you spot what it is?

Prolly offset from the runway (center-line)......? ??? ???

There doesn't seem to be a fan in the tail jet.

Northwest/DC-10's/MD-11's dosen't fly to Logan?

Is it that slightly odd looking pair of wheels in the middle of the main undercarraige?

Well I wouldn't know. I don't even know what sort of plane it is. :P

There are flaps and it's taking off so no landing lights.

I'm at a loss now. :P

Still ice cold everyone, so here's a bit of a hint...the answer has nothing to do with any individual parts of the aircraft, the location (Logan) or  most of the background scenery

First....

You are way off center taking off. In the first shot it looks like you took off from a taxiway.


Second..

Why all of the openings on each side of the aircraft?
