The LInes Have Been Drawn: Military Jets Page 2

Postby Clipper » Thu Jan 12, 2006 6:39 am

Welcome to page 2 of our "Greatest Military Jet Design  Ever" pre-poll. In case you missed what this is about in Page 1, you can post your choice of military jet here, try to include a screenie with your pick. The criteria is strictly VISUAL APPEARANCE.....Once all your choices are made, I'll create a poll for everyone to vote, based on those choices. What jet will become "SimV's Greatest Military Jet Design Of All Time"? As you may know, the Concorde" was voted in as "The Greatest Commercial Jet Design Ever"......Please refer to the initial "Lines Have Been Drawn: Military Jets" thread if you want to see the choices made so far! Here's a starter pick of what looks to be the front runner so far in the poll...

Will the F-14 Tomcat gather enough support to be named SimV's "Greatest Military Jet Design Ever"?

I still can't think why only me and Charlie have even mentioned the Hawker Hunter! It's so graceful compared to an F-14 (not that it's bad looking, I just don't think that it's a forerunner :P).

Though I'm glad the EE Lightning is up there! Some proper British metal! :D

I honestly can't say that I have  a favorite!  The flanker should be up there as it is a beautifull design!

Lovely's IMHO

Mig-15
Mig-21
F-5 (anyone)
The Harrier

I am very Biased towards the elderly metal like the Phantom and the Tomcat. This is a real toughie!

Looks like everyone who's nominating a jet has done so already, so I'll create the poll for 6:00 p.m. EST this evening...You can still make last minute suggestions though. For multiple choices by the same person, I'll only include your first choice in the poll.
