I hear you. The DC-3/C-47 was an awsome plane that is still being used around the world but, I just love the sound and power of having four 1,450 horsepower Pratt & Whitney R-2000 "Twin-Wasp" engines.

If you like that, check out the Boeing 377. Four P&W R-4360 Wasp Majors; 3500 horses each!!! Climbs like a dead pig, but it sounds great!
Reminds me I haven't flown that one in a while...

Actually, the MAAM DC-3 has INCREDIBLE sounds, real throttle responses. The DC-3 does sound very awesome, once you get up to full throttle it lets out this distinctive roar
