Looks like a relaxing flight! The DC3 is a great plane in FS9, has to be said. I see you closed the cowl flaps in flight... I usually leave them open, blows out all the cobwebs and mice and stuff...

What?  You, you, you.......animal!!!!  How dare you leave the cowls open!  That ruins fuel consumption, increases drag, not to mention over cools the engine!

Nice paint of a favorite of mine... I just ordered the MAAM-Sim DC3; can't wait to fire that up. The default model is pretty good, but I've heard a lot of good stuff about the MAAM job. Look for screenies in the Payware section soon...!
 I see from your takeoff shot  that you don't quite have a handle on the old gal yet (flaps down on takeoff;  gear coming up too soon)... if you care at all (not trying to tell you what to do), you might want to DL Werner Schott's cool little mini-manual for the R4D/DC3/C47, available here... a very good guide for getting the most out of that plane. It's a simple, step-by step checklist. The RPM/MAP settings listed don't quite match RL numbers I've seen, but even following those, the plane behaves much more the way it was meant to.
I've always loved DC3s; used to just horse around with the default model until I started really working it right, and discovered it's even more enjoyable that way... for me, at least.

Jake, we just had an airshow here a couple months back. Puff was there. Man. Can't even imagine what it was like standing in that cabin with 2 gatlings guns goin full bore. They were charging 5 bucks (extra 3.50 for a commemorative patch). Charge went to keep in good condition. Got some real good shots of the panel. Have one of them hanging over my desk (cocpit ).

no problem rd i understand what you say...iv'e spent hours in the past feathering and messing ect...but you must agree this old bird litrally fly's it's self , an amazing plane will take a look

Dude, I still have not flown online... something's amiss. I won't get into it here, but my Multiplayer page in FS9 doesn't even display correctly. Then there's the router... it's been behaving lately, so maybe i can risk having a crack at that again. But if i have to reinstall the sim to clear up the multiplayer problem... ugh.
But I'd definitlely like to fly online... let me investigate further; I'll probably let everyone know if and when I get it together.

She's even more kind when handled "by the numbers"... I've been flying it a lot lately, and am starting to actually make good landings (if it's all done from the beginning of descent, it's pretty easy).
Schott's made a whole mess of those manuals, for all kinds of planes. Very handy.

I dont need the manuals.  I checked out some of the stuff that MS says, but other than that, I learned by flying.   I have gotten almost perfect with landings: the key is to start your approach really early to leave yourself enough time to slow down.  Touch down around 100 knots
