Aborted Landing 744 Accident

Postby rich747 » Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:50 am

As I was landing at KSAN from KLAX, I realised I wasnt going to make the runway so went on a go-around and hit a building with my wing after failing to climb fast enough causing a horrific crash. :'(

Here are pictures from the whole flight:

That building you hit is a parking structure in real life.  Well, while you were going down you could've gotten a view of a nearby strip club!

Wait, why such a short trip in such a large plane?  I took that trip in real life, because we had to connect in LA, and we flew an Embraer 170.  Psh, I wish it was a 747.

I took such a large plane simply because I like flying it.

Yeh I like SAN as an airport. Went there in the summer, its such a friendly airport but lacks stuff to do. Flew in from EWR on a CO 737-800 and out to LAS on an America West a319. Stood in the car rental place at end of the runway for hours got a good view of plenty of planes coming in on finals VERY VERY low. Was just a good all round trip for flights.

BHX-EWR 757 EWR-SAN 737 SAN-LAS a319 LAS-JFK a319 and EWR-BHX 757
Only thing that let it down was a baby kicking my chair for 5 hours out of 7 on the BHX-EWR

Reminds me of the FSPassnegers flight i had tonight

took of from KDCA well found out the no fly zone over the white house is a war zone in fspassengers.  got my left fuel tank holed and it drained so now instead of 17,000 pounds of fuel i only got 8,500.
Ok so when i realize im losein fuel i declare an emergency and decide to land at baltimore.

Everything seems to be fine time to configure for landing, flaps down......nothing....FO says flaps are frozen. great ok flapless landing  i say to myself i can do this. turn onto final gear down........with a thunk they lock. 5 miles out ease back on the throttle to increase rate of decent(sp) FO says "we got a flame out" sink rate increaseing as the left engine winds down, sh#t
increase throttle to 100%  passengers screaming as sink rate goes past 3000fpm. I get control as i pass over the threshold goin too fast now and plane begins to rise CRAP!! spoilers open....finally  gear touch pavement about halfway down the runway auto brake engages. reverse thrust NOW!!  i pin the rudder to the left to keep it straight as the reverser spools up ....100knts...brakes squealin...80.....60......50......40.......30......bye bye runway........20.......10.....nose gear collapses bringing the aircraft to a stop.....

cost me 13 million to repair the plane no fatalities but i got penalized cause they said  i caused the emergency

Now this looks like "fun" ;D

Seems like FSpassengers adds a lot of realism to your Flight Simulator.  Will need to try that :)

And very nice pics rich :)

yeah it was pretty hairy. I forgot to mention the weather was snowing, and since I dont do much flying in adverse weather conditions, I forgot to use the tube heat thus I was goin faster than the indicated speed and when I let the flaps down I was goin way too fast and broke the flaps and also the de-breifing said that there was a compressor problem in one of the  engines and was produceing less thrust before take-off and I failed to abort take-off,so those 2 reasons it peanalized me.

Oh and I apologize the Thread starter for Hijacking this thread ;D

Thats quite alright, it seems your story is better anyway, any chance of some shots of it?
