That new Tucson scenery...

Postby Alphajet_Enthusiast » Sat Dec 31, 2005 8:11 pm

Decided on downloading it. Its a pretty big file, and in the end I dont know if its worth it the area covered isnt that large, the size of the city and part of the suburbs. At least it looks allright, the autogen is pretty good too. Man I must be crazy. Its friggin three in the morning or what. Oh well, should be simming and gaming till sunrise. Wheres the coke?

Shrubs look cool

Well allright but...

... the phototextures arent that appealing to my eyes. Usually it does though, strange

Autogen is nice

Night is where it comes into its own. Im only going to be flying here at night from now on

Yeah, but sunrise is still a coupla hours away, plenty of time to explore! :)

You should try living in those texture......
I live in Phoenix.....And he got the feel for that area pretty close to real!
I gotta ask......When you jump outside do those textures take along time to load? I went flying down there the other day in a F/A 18.....Wanted to get some screenies jumped out side and they all washed out....took a couple of seconds for them to re-load.

Not something that Ive noticed to be major, but indeed they do take that much longer to load than normal ground textures.
Thanks for the comments!  :) ;)

It looks allright from altitude because its also just a phototexture. At least you can make out the Starlifters, but doesnt quite capture the feel that was portrayed about AMARC in an Air Forces Monthly article a year or more ago. It seems a bit too small, where are all the F-16s, Vikings etc?  :P :)

Nice shots, would you mind posting a screen flying above the graveyard?
