Short but very troublesome flight!

Postby Souichiro » Wed Dec 28, 2005 6:30 pm

In the Meljet 777

We started of in the early morning loveliness of Geneva

All was well when we took off
Image

Even when we climbed
Image

The light broke through quickly as we were still over the mountains.
Image

Beautifull as they lay in the haze! safe when you're up here but dangerous when flying lower
Image

Little did we know that we would soon have to fly through them.. We heard a loud bang and the warning lighjts came on..

We had lost an engine

We quickly descended and headed for the closest field that could take us.... SION
Image

Approach through the valley
Image

Landing on one engine is tricky to say the least....
Image

But we made it!
Image

All was opened for the checks!
Image

Phew! that was a close one! All ended well and no one was hurt badly.

Cheers

Soui (who was experimenting with weather themes for the NATE story :P)

Interesting but very dangerous statement :P

For me it makes no difference

Airbus VS Boeing

I crash them all ;D

Glad you liked the shots

Beautifull scenery in the last 3 :o  Great set as well :)

One engine landings on a twin engine aircraft are always fun ::)

Also glad to see someone else flying the 777 ;)  Theres a sound pack for the 777 over at no nodes and possibly here and avsim...really adds some life to those engines ;)  For FS2002 though...also around 38mb :-X

For carrier use ;D

And Any landing from which you can walk away and re-use the plane is a good landing! ;D
