HOW TO FLY CIVIL JETS
1) Enter flightplan in "Flgith Planner" tab, found on the "Create a Flight" screen.
2) When it asks you whether you are flying VFR or IFR, say IFR.
3) Click "Find Route" and save.
4)Now, load the flight. Once the flight is loaded, prepare AP and use ATC.
5) Takeoff. Leave flaps on for better climb.
6) ONce you reach 7000ft (if you are flying shorthaul) or 15000ft (if you are flying longhaul) throttle back to 75% throttle, retract flaps and apply AP.
Make a choice:
6a) Go & watch a film, do some work, nip out t' pub for a bit or get some kip.
or
6b) Get bored stiff whistling along on autopilot at 30,000ft for the next 4 hours. (Oooh - a cloud)
7) When ATC tells you to do a certain thing, use the AP to fly the aircraft for you until you are on the traffic pattern/final appraoch for your destination.
Sorry cspyro, it's just that the big jets bore me so I only fly them very infrequently - they can't match the Alaskan scenery that greets the bush pilot.
Cheers,
TSC.
