Lol! When the government of the day cancels the MRA4 the day before it goes operational we might have to buy a few of them off the USN! ;)

but the P-3C has more capabilites than the Nimrod.

Well, the Nimrod is larger, is a jet, more room for fuel/supplies on board, can travel faster and probably over a longer distance.... blah blah blah......

;D ;D

Only joking, I don't want to turn this into "My Country is better than yours!" things, because people would get offended, so don't get the wrong idea anybody. :D

I like P-3C's cool aircraft, nice looking, and, as you said, very versatile splat. ;D

Nice shot bobby!
Cheers ;)

EDIT:

I believe it's a 737 MMA?

WOW!! A 737 WITH ROCKETS!!! ;D ;D

Sorry, it just seems crazy that a 737 that is mostly used for civil transport carrying rockets...looks weirdly "fun"..... :D

Aren’t our existing Nimrod's better than the Orion anyway?

All in all the Nimrod is probably a more capable aircraft (with continually expanding roles - such as being used over the ground in Iraq). The problem with the new Nimrods is that they'll be using the old Nimrod fuselages, so there won't be all that many MR2s left eventually.
