Decided to fly a airliner for a change so took the A340 up for a little flight from CDG :)

You weren't by any chance supposed to wait for that 47 to clear the active before your entered it were you?

Maybe it was a race to Chep Lap Kok and the french wouldn't want to lose that. AF vs. CX and Airbus vs. Boeing ;)

I was going into position to hold. If you notice Im off center as I was taxiing out to the active following his roll to hold.

Lol, A340 in Air France makes me think about what happened in Canada. It is so cool how no one was killed

The hold short line is that little yellow line on the taxiway about 20' before the runway, not the runway itself.

The hold short line is that little yellow line on the taxiway about 20' before the runway, not the runway itself.

He said position and hold not hold short.

Position and hold means taxi onto the runway and stop.  There, on the runway, you wait for takeoff clearance.  Busy airports do this often to speed up the flow of traffic.
