That Phantom is sweet. I've always loved Phantoms. Musta put about 30 F4 models together in my life.
First time I ever saw one up close and personal was an air show standing in a dirt lot along the flight path at Norfolk Naval Base (Dad was a sailor too)in Virginia. This was about circa '67. The Blue Angeles were using Phantoms back then. That bad boy couldn't have been more than 100 ft over my head when he came screaming over me. Last time was on the flight deck of the USS Ranger in the Indian Ocean. A flight of RAF Phantoms did a fly-by for us. Talk about awesome. Ever get a chubby while your teeth are rattling in your skull?
