African Traffic

Postby Ijineda » Wed Nov 16, 2005 9:26 am

...AI Traffic, nothing else! ;)
Africa is somehow the least developed area, both in real life and in the sim. well at least in the sim I can change that by adding some AI.
This is what you would probably see when visiting Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos, Nigeria around 8 in the morning.

Image

Virgin Atlantic is the only foreign carrier present in the morning. Lufthansa, KLM, Air France and British all arrive in the late evening.

This type of aircraft unfortunately crashed a month ago after takeoff from Lagos.

As you can see, not all the aircrafts are of a newer date.

Merci for looking!

Alright, mate, you've got my attention :)
Are all these ai planes freely available (ie via Project Ai or similar) or did you program them yourself. I'd love some decent ai in Africa (as well as the CIS and other neglected places)...

Great shots!

All planes are available for free; my sources are
1. www.projectai.com for the models and repaints
2. www.ai-aardvark.com for repaints (there are no models available on their site, youll get them at avsim)
3. www.avsim.com or www.flightsim.com for the flightplans.

If no flightplans can be found, I just visit the page of the airline and take a look at their schedules and used planes. With www.simple-ai.com its easy to compile flightplans on your own.
